Irish fashion retailer Primark revealed its first store in Slovenia at Citypark in Ljubljana, attracting thousands of enthusiastic customers.
This will be Primark’s first fashion store in Slovenia and its 372nd in the world. SES‘ Citypark is the largest shopping center in Slovenia. In this new store latest fashion trends will be available for women, men, and children. The design and layout will be based on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit.
“The launch of Primark at CITYPARK Ljubljana has once again allowed us to introduce one of the world’s most successful textile retailers to the country. When the first Primark opened in Austria at SILLPARK Innsbruck in 2012, we recognised the power of the brand’s magnetism on fashion enthusiasts as well as its tremendous appeal” said SES CEO Marcus Wild in a statement.
This new store extends over an area of 4,200 square metres and features 44 cash desks and 48 fitting rooms. The response on the opening day was no less than extraordinary with thousands of people queuing the store.
The new store is being considered as a part of the brand’s strategy to expand to Central and Eastern Europe or CEE.
Primark opened its first store in Dublin, Ireland, in 1969 under the name Penney’s. Today, the chain operates more than 360 stores in 11 countries across Europe and America. The company has become one of the largest players in the UK clothing market and continues to strengthen its presence internationally, in countries like Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austriaand the United States.
