Brooks Brothers:American Iconic oldest clothing manufacturer company will have to stop producing Made in the USA as it prepares to close its three U.S.-based garments factories.
The company, best known for making high-end men’s clothing, which was founded in 1818 in Manhattan, has been struggling financially for some time–even before the pandemic hit, according to a research reports. Currently the company 600 million dollars in debt and the owner was looking to sell the company last year.
The New York-based company has informed local and national authorities that it plans to close its remaining factories in Long Island (New York) where it produces ties, Garland (North Carolina) where it makes shirts and another facility in Haverhill (Massachusetts).For this Over 400 employees are going to lose their jobs.
Brooks Brothers has about 250 stores across the United States and 40 stores in other countries, according to the company website.
